Blake was born and raised in the heart of Southern Illinois. He began his golf career washing carts, picking the range, and running the pro-shop at Red Hawk Golf Club in DuQuoin, Illinois at age 15. At 17, he began working for the grounds crew during the summers doing daily golf course maintenance. After graduating from Southeast Missouri State University with a BFA in 3-D Animation/Illustration and Graphic Design, Blake decided his true passion was being on the golf course. He then decided to pursue a career in the golf business. After working as the Assistant Superintendent at Red Hawk, he was then promoted to Golf Course Superintendent. Blake was then hired as the Assistant Superintendent of Bent Creek Golf Club in Jackson, Missouri. After three years at Bent Creek, he assumed the role of Golf Course Superintendent. Blake joined the Oak Creek crew in October of 2015.
